While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see. ~Dorothea Lange
If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine
hey carly- can you refer me to any good photography websites? I am trying to learn more and was just wondering if you had any ideas of where I might look to learn. Thanks. I love your pictures and ethan is the cutest!!!
ReplyDeleteHey :) What specifically are you wanting to learn more about.....I have bookmarked a ton of good websites I've used before....but they help with different things. Some are targeted towards technique, some towards processing and photoshop, and then some are just websites of photographers I love and who I wish I could end up like. Let me know more specifically, and I'll try and sort through and email you some :)
ReplyDeletehmm... I want to learn more about technique. But of course I also need more work with processing. I love looking at photography websites and I get a lot of ideas from them, but I don't know what all to do to go out and get photos like theirs... so anything really would be great.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know the feeling! I love looking at photo websites too, but I feel like I'm so far from having pictures that look that good!
ReplyDeleteHere are a few good articles I've found online (mostly on lighting and how to use an SLR effectively) but I don't really have any SUPER good websites on technique. I've actually found reading photography books more helpful than websites. My dad has a huge stack of books in the basement that I've read...but I don't know the titles of any of them. I'd say just head to the library and see what looks good.
